Community Practice

In my community practice, I work to build teams of scientists, artists, activists and young people who work together and learn form each other around urgent ecological issues facing our planet.

These projects often involve many interlocking aspects-scientists exchanging knowledge with young artists through classroom visits, young artists researching environmental concerns and making these visible through artworks, older artists helping install youth exhibitions, hosting public receptions for local community to learn from young artists, and developing opportunities for high school students to teach workshops for younger kids about environmental protection, recycling, and reuse through making art.
